Eclipse Toner Cartridges innovative new manufacturing "Cell Based Production"
by Anonymous
March 12, 2004 -- The Cell based production facility promotes a more diverse work force in which employees are cross-trained so they can move to different cells when needed. When a cartridge (unit) is complete on an assembly line, it is feasible that 5-15 people have touched that cartridge (unit), throwing accountability to the wayside. With the cell based program there are 2-3 people that touch the cartridge (unit) from the time it arrives into production to the time it's packaged.
While continuing to follow high standards like ASTM provide quality for the Eclipse Toner Cartridge product line. The ASTM is a prescribed set of rules, conditions, or requirements concerning definition of terms; classification of components; specification of materials, performance of operations; delineation of procedures; or measurement of quantity and quality in compatible toner cartridges. A set of standards that OEM's in all industries use to rate the performance of their products. It is the BASIS for all testing put together by the American Society for Testing and Materials and the ANSI American National Standard Institute.
Introducing the Cell Based Production Philosophy allows Eclipse Toner Cartridges to produce high standards with lowering costs.
